# SparkFun AVC 2018: One Month Away!

AVC is one month away! September 7 & 8 @ Boulder County Fairgrounds

SparkFun AVC 2018 marks the event’s tenth anniversary this year, and to celebrate we’ve put together an awesome event for our competitors and our school teams.

What you need to know:

Not sure how to get started building a combat bot with your students? 2. You’re invited to the SparkFun AVC 2018 10 Year Anniversary Competitor Reception sponsored by Digi-Key Electronics on Friday, September 7 at 6 PM at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. Competitors get in free, if you’d like to attend but aren’t a competitor you can buy tickets [here](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sparkfun-avc-10-year-anniversary-competitor-reception-w-digi-key-electronics-tickets-48653635333).
3. Can’t participate this year? You can still check out the action as a spectator (admission is free) or watch the competitions via our livestream. Stay tuned to [SparkFun Edu social media](https://twitter.com/SparkFunEDU) for livestream details.
